First and Foremost, as a Business, Financial and Health Coach, I have learned over the years that creating habits and routines have to be Simple and Easy, especially in the areas of Nutrition and Health.  Simple and Easy does not mean that we are making excuses for bad habits, instead, the SECRET, is health is a transition–a Lifestyle change.

 

What if, transitioning to a healthy lifestyle was so simple and easy, it does not even feel like we are being healthy. That is the key to Health. Keep it simple and easy! How simple and easy you may ask? A Smoothie a Day Keeps the Doctor Away!

 

How simple is that, A Smoothie a Day Keeps the Doctor Away! I am not talking about changing your lifestyle, changing your eating habits, or sacrificing food that you love. At least at this point…lol.

 

Some of the questions with A Smoothie a Day Keeps the Doctor Away are “Is it better to eat a meal instead of drinking a nutrient-filled smoothie. My answer is NO; it is better to drink a smoothie.

 

Let me briefly explain, in the United States most of the food we consume is processed, convenient, and preserved. This means, that the food we consume is dead-food. What I mean by “dead-food,” it contains no nutrients. So, as a society, we are eating food with NO NUTRIENT VALUE. This has caused nutrient-deficiency among our population.

 

Let me go further…lol. As food has become processed, convenient & preserved, our produce has become GMO (genetically -modified), plus our produce is grown with only 3-minerals (Nitrogen (N), Phosphate (P) and Potassium (K)—also known as NPK). What this means is that, as a society we have become mineral-deficient. We are not getting all the minerals our body needs because of the produce we eat only contains the 3-minerals “NPK.”

 

 

What about Organic Food? Well, to truly know if our food is organic or not, we have to ask for the “certificate of analysis” of the food. Believe it or not, almost all organic food is still GMO and contains only NPK. Interesting huh!

What does all this mean? To keep it simple, everybody is nutrient and mineral deficient. What does that mean? If everybody is nutrient and mineral deficient, our bodies cannot heal itself properly, this is, of course, the on-set of disease. If our bodies are not getting all the nutrients and minerals it needs to properly function and continually repair itself, our bodies cannot properly fight disease.

Now, to answer the question, “why is drinking a nutrient-filled smoothie better than a meal?” A smoothie provides you with all the nutrients your body needs to properly function & continually repair its cells, organs, and ect.
